Robert & Clara Schumann: Piano Trios in D & G minor

$13.99 (1CD)

Clara Schumann completed her Piano Trio in G minor, Op. 17 in September, 1846. In 1847, just as it was being published, her husband, Robert completed and had performed his first Piano Trio in D minor, Op. 63, a work of startling originality and power that set new standards of trio writing and undermined Clara ’s confidence in her own work. In fact, the two trios are complementary masterpieces, linked forever by the mutual love of their respective composers. The Atlantis Trio performs both works with its usual mastery.
