Continuing our emphasis on the music of Johann Sebastian
Bach, Musica Omnia will record the major
instrumental and orchestral repertoire, including the
concertos, overtures and the masterworks for solo
instruments and small ensembles. Such works as the
Concertos for one or more harpsichords (BWV
1052-1065), four Overtures, BWV 1066-1069),
Brandenburg Concertos (BWV 1046-1051) as well as an
exciting program instrumental sinfonias from the
cantatas will be included in this on-going series of
recordings. Artists will include some of the leading
performers on period instruments such as Penelope
Crawford, Peter Watchorn and Marco Facchin (harpsichord
and organ), Emlyn Ngai (violin), Colin St. Martin &
Kathryn Roth (flute), Brent Wissick (cello & viola da
gamba), Saskia Coolen (recorder), Owen Watkins (baroque
oboe and recorder), Geoffrey Burgess (baroque oboe) |
